Haze of sloth

I haven't been running as often as I should, and when I do I don't run as hard as I should. See evidence below:

March data from my GTC

Pitiful. I have been stuck in this rut for quite some time now and I need to motivate myself harder. I've been trying to convince my brother-in-law to register with me late this year for The Bull Runner Dream Marathon which will be held sometime in 2012. After all, we still have about 6 months to train and up our mileage. We'll see. If not next year, maybe in 2 years.

  1. Just get back into it...you can do it Aya!

It's a struggle for me to work out every single day but I've been pushing myself even if I want to give up. Sometimes we just get into a rut but we have to remember we can always get back into it! :)

  3. Hi Laya,

I dont know if this will help you, but when I start to be demotivated in doing something I try to remember why I started it and what it did bring to me. In case of running it brings me a better physical condition, a more restfull sleep and of course the pride to be able to do something I had never think I was able to do! May be you should just remember that and think about it?

  4. You're totally right, Ruben. I should stop making excuses and just go out and do it!

  5. Your not alone - You just need to have a goal and sign up for a race. Wake up each day and ask yourself what am I going to do today to get me closer to my goal. You will have good days and bad days, but each will get you closer to your goal.
